How to Read the Chinese Characters Correctly

All Web pages at this Web site is set to read Chinese Big5 characters. Most Internet browsers will be able to recognize this setting and read the pages correctly. However, if your browser can not switch automatically, you will need to do one the following options:

Option #1: Steering Monthly can be read by Chinese Windows 95 with Microsoft Internet Explore (Chinese version). If you use the English version of Netscape, you may notice that some Chinese words may be missing or un-readable.

Option #2: If you don't have the Chinese version of Windows 95, you need to activate a Chinese Internet Web viewer before you can read the articles posted in this Web site. The Chinese characters can be displayed by a Chinese Web viewer, the NJ-Star for Windows can be downloaded from njstar.com. This Chinese Big 5 or GB viewer for both traditional and simplified characters (1.5 MB) is a shareware. Which can be used free of charge for 30 days. When you run this program, please change the "ASNI, No CJK Support" to either "Chinese Auto Simplified" or "Chinese Auto Traditional" or "Chinese Big5 Simplified" or "Chinese Big5 Traditional", whichever you prefer.

Option #3: The Chinese characters can also be displayed by activating another Chinese Big 5 viewer, the AsianSuite97 can be downloaded from Unionway.com. The Chinese Big 5 viewer for Win95 and Win3.x (1.2 MB) is a freeware. However, its font quality is not very good.
