A Graduation Prayer For You

My prayer for you
As you go through
The graduating line
Is that you'll always smile
And things will turn out fine
My prayer for you
Is that you will
Stand firmly in your faith
And that you'll keep on running
Til you complete the race
My prayer for you
Is that you'll know
That you can turn to Him
When everything is going wrong
And the future starts to dim
My prayer for you
Is that you will
Remember how to pray
And God will help to pull you through
The troubles of each day
My prayer for you
Is that He'll hold
You up in all you do
And you'll encourage others
Who need our Friend's love too
And last of all
My friend, my prayer
Is that we'll always be
The best of friends though all the trials
And for eternity
This poem is written for all graduates. As you step into a new phase of life, this is a reminder that there will always be someone looking out for you. As you take a blind step into a world of uncertainties, the simple assurance of knowing that someone is thinking of you and praying for you can make the difference between hope and despair. I want this poem to be an encouragement to all of you in the midst of any trials that might arises. I also want this to remind all of you of the Hope that you can turn to when no one else is willing to listen.
