Heartprints

/Doreen Szeto
Throughout life, we touch many things
And we leave fingerprints.
Sometimes permanent
Sometimes temporary
We may make a difference
We may cause a change
But we still leave fingerprints.
Throughout life, we touch many people
And we leave heartprints.
Sometimes permanent
Sometimes temporary
We may make a difference
We may cause a change
But we still leave heartprints.

We all make an influence in the lives of others. The impressions we leave can be compared to the impressions of fingerprints. We leave fingerprints on whatever we touch. Sometime these fingerprints are permanent; other time they are only temporary. The fingerprints we leave may make a difference or cause no effect at all. Nevertheless, we still leave an impact on everything we touch, whether it be positive or negative. In the same way, as we go through life each of us touches many people; this is not from a physical sense, but more in the area of relationships and emotions. When a person touches your heart, he or she leaves a lasting impact. I described this as leaving heartprints. We leave heartprints on people through what we do or say. Sometimes these heartprints are temporary, but other times they will last for a lifetime. These can make the difference between life and death for some people. Leaving heartprints of love in someone's soul can be one of the greatest gifts to ever give. My goal in life is to leave lasting heartprints in others' lives. I want my heartprints to show others the love I have for them, and most of all, the love God has for them......a love so great He was willing to give His life for us.
