FINDING GOD'S FAITHFULNESS

/Hsiao Ching

"Is the glass half full or half empty?" Have you heard of that saying? The answer is a matter of choice. It depends on how you choose to see it.

God's faithfulness is like that. It is there, but it depends on how you see it. However, you need faith. Without faith you will not be able to see God's faithfulness.

Evidence of God's faithfulness to us is everywhere. Even in this world of tears and sorrows, with every evil, there is good. The problem is we usually choose to see the evil. We usually see the glass half empty.

The good news is that whether you or I choose to believe God is faithful makes no difference in his faithfulness. Being faithful is one of his characteristics. He cannot be anything BUT faithful. He is God. And as long as God is God, he cannot live a lie.

The Bible tells us He is our constant companion. He will never fail us, never leave us. Within his will, everything is good, even when it seems bad.

God doesn't promise us from pain, suffering, loneliness, this is the world we live in. It is the sin we gave birth to. However, until we get to heaven, we can always see the glass half full.

Just ask for the faith to believe, and God will open your eyes to see His work around you. Soon unemployment will be understood as a time of positive transitions. A death of a love one can offer the opportunity for an unbeliever to believe. An illness can save a life where over work and exhaustion would otherwise destroy a family.

The world we live in is difficult. However, with every difficulty there is hope. God is our hope. God does his work, He loves, He is faithful. Your job is to choose. If you have faith, you will see life's challenges as God's opportunity to show himself. You can make your glass always be half full. So, which will it be?
